 Who doesn’t know Hyères, a town located in Provence which offers idyllic landscapes?

 
The town of Hyères is not just a tourist hotspot, it will become for a few seconds a place of dreams and hope and will see a parade with a good part from the fashion sphere of 29 April to 2 May.
 
Like every year, the Villa Noailles in Hyères will accommodate the international festival of fashion and photography.

 

 

 

The festival, which the investigator is Jean-Pierre Blanc, promotes young artists in the fields of fashion and photography. 10 candidates will be shortlisted and their creations will be presented as a parade for the fashion contest and exhibition for the photography part. Confirmed talent have take part on this fashion contest such as the duo Viktor & Rolf to cite one example among others. You should know that the big fashion schools around the world are not lacking to send each year, their best students.
 
The jury presided by Raf Simons, creative director of Jil Sander, met on January 31 side Tim Blanks, journalist, editor of the site Style.com, Lazaro Hernandez, designer, Proenza Schouler, Jack McCollough, designer, Proenza Schouler, Christopher Kane, designer Michel Gaubert, musician and writer, Floriane , Carla Sozzani, Corso Como founder.
The ten artists who have captivated the jury and, at the same time take their flight in late April for the mediterranean city are:

The spanish brand of ready to wear  Mango announces the opening for the 4th edition of its textile design competition called El Boton (Button) Mango Fashion Awards.
 
 

 

A fabulous reward : over 300 000 euros and the creation of a capsule collection.

 The jury is still unknown, but to get an idea, the previous editions welcomed Valentino, Oscar de la Renta or still Jean-Paul Gaultier.It will consist of the Mango Comitee and  five fashion design schools ( The Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design- London, l’Institut Français de la Mode- Paris, Istituto Marangoni- Milan, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts- Anvers and the Escola Superior de Disseny- Barcelona)

Fashion week on Arte

After New York, London and Milan, the fashionistas are continuing their "fashion trip" and will put their luggage in our capital from 1st till 9 March at the Fashion Week. Expect you on an invasion of stilletos in the Parisian streets.
Fashion also takes your screens. Get ready for  a program 100 % fashion on the french/ german channel ARTE.
 

A parade of the biggest names in the fashion industry on the antenna , carefully orchestrated by the brilliant Karl Lagerfeld who was chosen to present the designers, their inventions and who will share his views.

The kickoff for tonight is a portrait of Yves Saint Laurent.

 
The following days discover Versace, Fendi, Sonia Rikyel or Chantal Thomas to name a few. Also the documentary by Loïc Prigent to explore the backstage of a fashion show. In brief your fashion calendar  will be well filled and and it until March 6th.
